Late Summer Fun in Fredericksburg

Five Things You Must Do Before Summer Ends!

Fall is quickly approaching, but there’s still time left to enjoy the long days of summer. Don’t let the season slip away before completing these five Fredericksburg activities. We’ve got family fun, date nights, and solo time covered…just five more reasons we, “Live Where We Love.”

1 – Make S’mores!

Better yet, let the Chef at Kybecca make them for you! Put on your best duds, and enjoy a fancy evening out with your better half at Kybecca. Share decadent small plates, exquisite craft cocktails, and of course, S’mores for dessert—graham cracker crumb cookie topped with callebaut chocolate ganache and homemade ice wine marshmallow. You’ll want som’ more, we promise.

2 – Hop on a Trolley

What’s better than a wine tour? Being chauffeured from vineyard to vineyard! Head to the Spotsylvania Towne Centre to climb aboard a trolley with Trolley Tours of Fredericksburg and enjoy a leisurely ride through the Spotsylvania countryside as you visit four local wineries. You’ll stop for tastings at Eden Try, Wilderness Run Vineyards, Lake Anna Winery, and Mattaponi Winery.

3 – Solo SUP!

Carve out a little time for yourself and learn a new sport! Let the folks at the Virginia Outdoor Center teach you how to Stand Up Paddleboard. Enroll in their last class of the season, Saturday, August 22, 2015. You’ll enjoy four hours of instruction and (hopefully!) serenity on the Rappahannock River.

While the weather is still warm, and produce is still in season, stroll down to the Fredericksburg Farmer’s Market in Hurkamp Park. The 28 vendors offer a full range of vegetables, fruits, meats, eggs, breads, local wine, and plants.
