Meet the Agent: Nory Simoneaux

We think we have some pretty awesome agents here at Nest, and we think you’ll like them too. During our “Meet the Agent” series we sit down with our agents to learn more about them, what makes them tick, and why they’re passionate about the real estate industry. For this installment we speak with our newest Wilmington agent, Nory Simoneaux.

Nest Realty: Hi Nory, thanks so much for taking the time to sit down and chat with us.
Nory Simoneaux: My pleasure!

NR: Let’s start at the beginning, what led you into the adventures of real estate?
NS: Real estate is something that has always interested me. I have always thought of being a broker as something I would love to do. It wasn’t until we had our first baby, Graham, that I decided it was now or never for this career change and dove head first into the world of real estate.

NR: What drew you to join the team at Nest Realty?
NS: When I initially decided to pursue this career and people asked me, “Why?” I would tell them because I truly felt like I brought something to the table I had not experienced in real estate. I want to bring my passion for customer service and organizational skills to the table for every single transaction and transform clients into friends who I am really looking out for. When I came to Nest Realty I met an entire office of people who were already doing that! I walked out of my first meeting with you guys excited, and I didn’t get that anywhere else.

NR: Being a first-time homebuyer can be a bit intimidating. What advice would you give to someone considering buying their first home?
NS: Stay organized. The paperwork can feel overwhelming, take a deep breath, find what you need and move on! I think working with a real estate broker and mortgage broker who you are completely comfortable with is also key, you need to be able to ask questions (a lot, a lot of questions) and know that you are getting the best answer.

NR: Ok, if you had to choose one dream client, who would it be?
NS: That person who wasn’t sure if they could buy a house, but we make it happen. I think that home ownership is so empowering, I love helping people make their dreams come true. It doesn’t matter where the house is or how big or small, helping someone who has realized a goal be able to accomplish it is awesome.

NR: What is your favorite time of year in Wilmington?
NS: Spring! Hands down. This is such a beautiful city year round, but Spring when the azaleas are in full bloom is my absolute favorite.
