Meet the Agent: Tim Hudson

We’re proud of the team of agents we’ve assembled here at Nest Realty. We think they’re pretty awesome, and we think you will, too. During Nest Stories’ “Meet the Agent” series, we sit down with our agents and brokers to learn more about them, what makes them tick, and why they’re passionate about the real estate industry.

In this installment, we chat with Tim Hudson, a Realtor in the New River Valley, Virginia.

Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! What brought you to the area?
Tim Hudson: I have lived in the NRV since 1995. Moved in from Seattle after doing some extensive exploring.

NR: How did you get into real estate?
TH: Looking to manage my own time and be able to spend time with my family. I was first licensed in 1997!

NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
TH: Nest focuses on client and agent relationships, not just numbers and volume. That comes with the relationships.

NR: What’s your favorite part of being an agent?
TH: The people, families, and pets you meet along the way.

NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
TH: I do mostly residential-land real estate. I have colleagues I ask advice on when working on commercial deals.

NR: What are five adjectives to describe you?
TH: Approachable, patient, good laugher, helpful, good listener

NR: Who would be your dream client?
TH: The “one and done” client…falls in love with first property seen.

NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
TH: Get pre-approved. Not only for offer position, but sometimes there are items on a persons report they had no idea were there.

NR: What’s your favorite season in the NRV?
TH: Fall into Winter…no, not a pumpkin spice guy, just cooler clothes to wear.

Working in construction early in his career, Tim gained valuable knowledge about houses from the inside out. Since earning his real estate license in 1997, Tim made it his number one priority to represent his client’s best interests and provide a personable and comfortable environment, placing the utmost importance on honesty and transparency throughout the entire transaction lifecycle.
