Nester Ryan Crecelius named the University of North Carolina Wilmington’s Young Alumni of the Year for 2015.
Each year the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) Alumni Association recognizes three distinguished Alumni for their outstanding achievement and service in their careers and to their community. This year, Nest’s own Ryan Crecelius was named the 2015 Young Alumni of the Year.
Lindsay LeRoy, director of Alumni Relations, said this year’s distinguished alumni award recipients are examples of the different ways Seahawks impact the world around them. “Time as students at UNCW has ended for our three honorees, but they have carried their experiences forward as alumni and are impacting their communities in a big way,” LeRoy said. “These gentlemen exemplify what it means to be a Seahawk of excellence. We are incredibly proud to have them as our alumni.”
Ryan Crecelius is the owner and Principal Broker of Nest Realty Wilmington. Before joining the Nest Team, Ryan received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice in 2006 and completed his real estate courses while attending UNCW.
In 2013, Crecelius was named one of the top 100 most influential people in the real estate industry. He was recently elected as the vice president of the Wilmington Regional Association of Realtors Board of Directors. The association represents more than 2,000 members. Crecelius serves on the North Carolina Legislative Committee, and is a regular speaker at UNCW’s Cameron School of Business on the topics of entrepreneurship and corporate social responsibility.
Congrats, Ryan, from all of the folks here at Nest Really!
