Associate Broker

John arrived in Albemarle County from northern California in 1982 to train horses for Akid Arabian Stud, a premier Egyptian Arabian breeding farm in Afton, Virginia. Roots started to grow immediately and John utilized his experience in marketing and farm management to enter the world of farm and estate brokerage in 1983. John was an Associate broker with one of Charlottesville’s oldest and largest firms for 15 years and was Principal Broker of his own company, Charlottesville Country Properties for 14 years. In 2012 John merged his company with Nest Realty and looks forward to applying Nest’s ground breaking technology to nearly three decades of experience in country property brokerage. John lives in Barboursville on a small farm with his two children,(now in college) and a bunch of dogs and horses.
