Since launching the Nest web site about 6 weeks ago, I promised updated and consistent market reports and blog postings about the local real estate market. Well, I haven’t been very good about it so far. But that’s going to change. I have some reasons, but I’m not big on excuses. Either way, the entire Nest Realty team is working towards a goal of consistent and educational posts on The Nest Report to keep you up-to-speed on this uncertain real estate market.
I’m going to start things up by doing a series of Crozet area neighborhood market reports. I’ve already done a report on Old Trail. Over the next few weeks, I’ll touch on Grayrock (and Grayrock North), Waylands Grant, Western Ridge, Cory Farm, Westhall, The Highlands, Parkside Village, and Foxchase. For each of these, I’ll sift through Charlottesville MLS data and will take a look a price per square foot, days on market, and other relevant data points. I’ll even touch on if and how foreclosures are affecting values in these ‘micro markets.’ Then we’ll sum it up with an overall Crozet area market report.
