Chall’s first job as a teenager took him to the farthest corners of Buncombe County, and from then on he has constantly explored the area (often on a vintage motorcycle or sidecar, nowadays). Since his first home purchase in West Asheville at age 22, Chall has closely followed and participated in the local real estate market, working with both residential and commercial properties.

An entrepreneur for a number of years before becoming a real estate professional, he has opened an award-winning theatre, worked as a bar consultant (and wrote an acclaimed book on bar ownership), and is also co-owner of Little Jumbo, one of Asheville’s leading cocktail bars.
