One of my greatest strengths is my ability to put people at ease. I enjoy taking the stress out of the buying and selling process, and forming lasting relationships with my clients. This is evident in the number of returning and referral clients I've had in the last 18 years as a broker.
I have been a real estate broker in Asheville since 2004. Along with my wife, Kelly, I also opened and ran an antique furniture import company, Oddfellows Antiques. My experiences as a realtor and an entrepreneur have enabled me to deal effectively with the number of challenges that arise in real estate. I always employ my father’s mantra that listening to people is more important than talking to them.
Kelly and I have two teenagers, Bella and Michael, who just can’t stop growing. As a father, I am constantly amazed at their development, resilience, and determination as they mature. My kids show a capacity for understanding and strength which will serve them well throughout their lives. Real estate has provided me with the financial security and the flexibility to always make family life a major priority.
Reading, writing, cooking, trail running, road cycling, and building projects highlight my creative pursuits these days. A love of architecture and design drove me to the real estate industry in Asheville, after having graduated from Appalachian State University, and a short stint as a high school English teacher in Atlanta. My eye for detail naturally blends with my wife’s passion for creating a warm and inviting home environment.
I have a keen ability to connect a client’s wants and needs to the reality of the housing market. As Asheville has grown and changed significantly in the 20 years I have lived here, several things stand out. Our housing market is unique, and buyers especially have to keep concessions in mind when moving to town. To take the time to know people, not just the place they call home, takes patience and character. I am proud to have served many clients on numerous occasions.
