Seller's Scoop

  • View: Trees, long range mountain ridges, 16th green of golf course across the street, all the garden beds and landscaping I've done over the years.
  • Room: My screened in back porch. If weather permits, that's where I am!
  • Tree: I have a number of old oak trees and several dogwood trees. I love watching them through the seasons!
  • Walk: Walking is available around all the holes in the golf course....starting just across the street. Best time for me is close to sunset, which while always pretty takes my breath away in the wintertime. A myriad of stars are on display year-round.
  • Hike: 5 minutes from downtown Asheville; 3 miles from Blue Ridge Parkway. The best of both worlds! Whitewater rafting 40 minutes away. many other locations for hiking, looking at waterfalls and native plants. Organic farms abound.
  • Breakfast: Downtown especially: Early Girl Eatery. Best bagels in town (or anywhere I've been for that matter) are at Bruegger's Bagels.
  • Lunch: Chai Pani, Zen Sushi, Salsa, food trucks..... too many to list. Asheville is known for its many fine restaurants and Michelen star chefs.
  • Dinner: Bouchon, Red Ginger, Zambra, many many more depending which cuisine you are interested in....we have them all! This is a FOODIE town!
  • Pub/Winery: Asheville has often been called the Beer Capitol of the US. Don't know if that's true or not, but we have a plethora of breweries here. You can even be kayaking down the river and belly up to a bar on shore without getting out of your kayak or canoe!
  • Living Here Has Been: I've lived here for 25 years after coming from Atlanta (16 years)..Our family came to these mountains every year for vacation when I was young; they call my name. Asheville is home to many world class artists; it is a major part of our persona. The newly revived Riverview Arts District as well as downtown are remarkable. And, of course, there is the Biltmore Estate.....the largest privately owned home in the US.
