  • Room: I love to be on a little triangle of land where two creeks merge that we call, "the island".
  • Tree: There's a tree on "the island" that has a hole in it and you can see all the way through the trunk. It's magical.
  • Walk: My favorite time to walk on the property is after it has snowed. There is nothing like the quiet beauty of that white blanket covering the land.
  • Hike: We hike on the land!
  • Breakfast: Over Easy! Hands down the best breakfast in Asheville in our humble opinion.
  • Lunch: Blue Mountain Pizza in Weaverville. They're also great for dinner because they have live music. Their pizza is sooo good.
  • Dinner: Limones. So romantic.
  • Pub/Winery: Sovereign Remedies is a lovely place to sit and enjoy a libation.
  • Living Here Has Been: Our kids grew up on this land. From camping out to swimming in the swimming hole right off our land in the conservation land that includes Sandymush Creek, it's been special. Lately it's been lovely watching the deer and the turkeys. I never knew weather could be so entertaining until we moved out here. Watching the rain come toward you from the mountains, the spectacular rainbows, sunrises and sunsets and oh, the fireflies! Because we have so little light pollution, the starts are spectacular on a clear night.
