East Lake

In the early 1900s, East Lake was a popular vacation haven for Atlanta's well-to-do families. It subsequently continued to attract golfing enthusiasts who wanted to play at East Lake Golf Club, where golfing legend Bobby Jones played his first and last rounds of golf. Today, it remains a golfing destination, as well as hosting amenities such as parks, restaurants, and state-renowned schools.

Established in 1904, the East Lake Golf Club is the oldest private golf club in Atlanta. Located approximately five miles east of Downtown, it was the home course of golfer Bobby Jones, and much of its clubhouse still serves as a tribute to his accomplishments.

Drew Charter School Complex

Drew Charter School was established in 1995 as one of the first charter schools in the city. It has been regarded as critical to East Lake's development, and resides in what is now a very sought-after school district.
