Originally a farming community, Hapeville was incorporated in 1891. It sits southwest of Atlanta inside of I-285, and was founded by Dr. Samuel Hape. This city is now known for its proximity to the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and the Delta Flight Museum.

Key Features

Resident Involvement: There is a high concentration of young professionals and artists in Hapeville, which has led to the construction of single-family homes, townhomes, and apartments. These residents have expressed a renewed interest in the historic downtown, which has also been growing in recent years.

Tight-Knit and Artistic: Though it is a small city, Hapeville boasts several clubs and arts organizations as well as a performing arts center. Its citizens enjoy affordability and access to Atlanta, as well as community involvement, which can be seen through their monthly newsletter, Hapeville Hometown News. Events such as movie nights, a concert series, and festivals serve to bring the city even closer together.
