During our “Meet the Agent” series, we sit down with our agents to learn more about them, what makes them tick, and why they’re passionate about the real estate industry. In this installment, we chat with Nic Wolfe, a Realtor with Nest Realty in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! Where are you from? What brought you to Fredericksburg?
Nic Wolfe: I was born in Monterey, California, but have spent the better half of my life here in Fredericksburg. With my dad being in the navy, we moved around a handful of times until we decided that Fredericksburg was our final move.
NR: How did you get into real estate?
NW: My roommate was going to purchase a house and wanted to take a pre-licensing real estate class to learn about the process. I decided to do it as well and ended up loving what I learned. I knew I loved people, houses, and our community, so I decided to commit myself to this new career!
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
NW: I was a high school science teacher and am currently a kayaking, canoeing, and rock climbing instructor for the Virginia Outdoor Center. Teaching allowed me to hone in on my organizational skills, efficiency, and work ethic. Instructing and teaching have both added to my ability to break down complex concepts into “easy to digest” knowledge.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
NW: Sarah, our Principal Broker, worked with my parents to help purchase land. Being a close family friend, and knowing how Nest Realty approaches real estate by building relationships, I couldn’t see myself working for any other brokerage.
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
NW: Working with people of all walks of life. Everyone has a unique story and being part of that story as I help them with their dreams is beyond rewarding.
NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
NW: I am unlike others, not just in real estate, but in anyone’s day to day. Being a Fredericksburg native, and still being a young agent, has allowed me to have a unique perspective of the city and the surrounding areas. I am known for bringing high energy and positive vibes into any situation, which brings even more stoke to an already exciting experience!
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
NW: Personable, passionate, high-energy, empathetic, and goofy.
NR: Who would be your dream client?
NW: Margot Robbie, because I would probably try to wife her along the way!
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
NW: Trust the process and be patient. It all works out when it is supposed to.
NR: What is your favorite season in Fredericksburg?
NW: Hands down has to be fall. The symphony between the Rappahannock River, the city, and the changing leaves creates an undeniable beauty that everyone can appreciate.
