In this installment, we chat with Jeff Lewis, an agent with Nest Realty in Roanoke, Virginia.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! What brought you to the area?
Jeff Lewis: I’m a Southwest Virginia native who moved to Roanoke and then Bedford for business, eventually owning an equestrian facility and a local vineyard.
NR: How did you get into real estate?
JL: Organically. My wife met our Brokers, we became clients, and now I’m happily joining Nest after being a Friend of Nest.
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
JL: I’ve spent 38-plus years in retail. It’s helped me work with people from all walks of life, both public and corporate, and has allowed me to form lifelong relationships that I value.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
JL: Being a client! Our Brokers and the way they handled us as clients through our transaction sealed the deal. I wanted that experience for my clients.
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
JL: The ability to meet new people, hear their stories, and surround myself with other successful agents.
NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
JL: Land, farms, viticulture, and agriculture. But at the end of the day, I love being able to bring people home; first-time buyers, investors, or empty nesters.
NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
JL: I have a true gift to talk to anyone and a unique passion for people.
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
JL: Personable, passionate, persistent, energetic, and thoughtful!
NR: Who would be your dream client?
JL: Someone who never thought they could own a home. So I could see their face when they actually get their keys.
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
JL: Trust the process, have an agent you trust, and follow your heart.
NR: What is your favorite season in Roanoke?
JL: Summer!
