Advice for Springtime Sellers

Spring is in the air, and the real estate market is buzzing!

Last week we shared advice for springtime buyers, this week we’ll look at the advantages and disadvantages of selling your home this season. We’ve created a short list to help you determine is spring is the right time for you to sell your home!

Here’s our list of pros and cons:

PROS:

Spring is a popular time to sell, and therefore buy, and you may garner a higher sale price.

With the hot market, there’s the possibility that multiple takers will embark upon a bidding war that will drive your sale price even higher.

With the nice weather, your home just looks better. Curb appeal is easier to achieve and flowers make everything pop.

This increased curb appeal can increase home valuations.

CONS:

With so much selection, buyers can be pickier.

Buyers may be less motivated to take the plunge with so much inventory from which to choose.
