Beauty abounds and surrounds us at every turn! We visit three spaces with three different styles—find what speaks to you, and replicate that design element in your home.

BimBeriBon

BimBeriBon is named after Bimberi Peak in Australia, and bon, the French word for good. This hot new eatery in West Asheville, NC, is more than living up to the name. Co-owners Reza Setayesh and Mitch Orland want each patron to achieve the peak of feeling good.

“We want you to live your best life, and we believe that starts with good food,” shares Reza. But don’t be fooled by the quinoa and vegetable brimming menu, this isn’t a bland and boring approach to food, “It’s flavor first, then health,” explains Reza.

The duo wanted to bring that same freshness and life-energy to the restaurant itself. Live plants, natural light, and an airy atmosphere create a sense of energy. Varying hues of green in the furnishings, balanced by touches of natural wood, pop against the predominantly white space. Copy this look to create your own energetic kitchen or breakfast nook.

6 BEARS AND A GOAT BREWERY

Designed by the genius team at Spaces Design Studio, the recently opened 6 Bears and a Goat Brewery in Fredericksburg, VA, has a distinct nautical vibe. Which makes sense, given that the seven founders are U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Navy retirees—the name of the brewery itself comes from the mascots of the military branches.

Shades of blue and white are grounded by wood elements. Weathered wood floors are placed in a herringbone pattern, barstools are variations of oak and walnut, and the custom tables are made by Fraser Wood Elements, a Fredericksburg favorite.

The stand-out features are the light fixtures—white orbs appear to be suspended by fishing nets. Repetition of the lights throughout the space is impactful and interesting. Try this tactic in your own home, suspending a series of pendants in an entryway or dining room. When you’re not gazing at the decor, take a moment to gaze at the beautiful brews and seafood-filled menu.

THREVE MERCANTILE

We’re swooning over the neutral color palette employed at Threve Mercantile in Wilmington, NC. The refined and
restricted use of natural colors and textures creates a calming atmosphere that you’ll want to replicate in your own home. Under the glowing light of chandeliers and the warmth of exposed brick, shop owners Lisa and Justin Hauenstein have lovingly created this treasure of a store—offering furniture, home decor, bath and beauty products, candles, and even items for the littles.

With an incredible eye for design, Lisa has carefully curated each element. Natural fibers, wicker, leather,
and raw wood play starring roles in the furnishings. Ceramic, glass, and marble can be found amongst the kitchen objects.

Top notes of pear and bergamot with a hint of jasmine float above the array of natural candles. Whether you’re looking for a housewarming gift, new pillows for your bed, or are ready to throw out everything you own and follow Threve’s signature style, you can pop into the storefront or browse the online store.
