Glenn Robertson Earns Master Certified Green Professional Designation

Written by: Deborah Rutter

Amy Webb and I are thrilled to announce that Glenn Robertson, co-founder of Nest Partner Builder Smith & Robertson, has earned the Master Certified Green Professional (Master CGP) designation!

A recognition from the National Association of Homebuilders, the Master CGP signifies that a builder is an expert in the field of sustainable construction.

Why is this so exciting?

First, this means that Glenn is only one of three such designees in the Commonwealth of Virginia. What an honor!

Additionally, because Master CGP’s are required to have at least five years’ green building expertise and must have certified at least three projects in a three-year period, this recognition is further proof that Smith & Robertson has been committed to energy efficiency and sustainability as a business principle, not just a passing fad.

What types of techniques do Certified Green Professionals have to master to achieve this designation? The curriculum includes energy, water and resource efficiency, improved indoor environment quality, site development and homeowner education (if you’re a fan of Nest already, you know we’re passionate about client education)…all while maintaining cost-effectiveness.

Join me and my fellow S&R Nest representative Amy Webb in congratulating Glenn and the entire Smith & Robertson team on continuing to learn new and innovative techniques to ensure that we are creating better homes for the homeowner and the environment!

Are you a Realtor who has clients thinking of building their custom dream home? Or are you an interested buyer somewhere in the decision making process? Either way, we’d love to hear from you:
