Meet the Agent: Brandon Cooper

agent: Brandon Cooper

We’re proud of the team of agents we’ve assembled here at Nest Realty. We think they’re pretty awesome, and we think you will too. During our “Meet the Agent” series, we sit down with our agents to learn more about them, what makes them tick, and why they’re passionate about the real estate industry. In this installment, we chat with Brandon Cooper, a Realtor with Nest Realty in Louisville, Kentucky.

Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! Where are you from? What brought you to Louisville?
Brandon Cooper: I grew up in Harrisonburg, Virginia. I’m a former minor league baseball umpire. I moved to Louisville, Kentucky, after my rookie season. I met a girl from here and the rest is history.

NR: How did you get into real estate?
BC: I’ve always been interested in real estate. I’m an entrepreneur at heart and I decided that I wanted to add real estate to my daily activities. I’m currently a college baseball umpire and I’m on the staff of the ACC and SEC.

NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
BC: Networking is what makes the world go around. I love meeting people and helping them find a solution to a need.

NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
BC: A mutual friend introduced me to this team of amazing people. I wouldn’t want to be a part of any other team.

NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
BC: Meeting people and watching them make big life decisions. I enjoy being a part of that.

NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
BC: As of right now, I concentrate on the buyers’ side. I enjoy helping them get the best homes available.

NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
BC: My work ethic and negotiation skills are A++.

NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
BC: Smart working, empathetic, ethical, focused, and determined.

NR: Who would be your dream client?
BC: My best clients are the ready ones!

NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
BC: Buy smart.

NR: What is your favorite season in Louisville?
BC: Summer—there are so many outdoor things to do.
