In this installment, we chat with Casey Conner, a Broker with Nest Realty in Asheville, North Carolina.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! Where are you from? What brought you to Asheville?
Casey Conner: I came to Western North Carolina for college and fell in love with the area.
NR: How did you get into real estate?
CC: Buying a second home and renovating it—I loved it.
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
CC: I was the Parks and Recreation Director for the Town of Black Mountain, navigating challenging and difficult situations to find a solution that makes the customer happy.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
CC: Lead Brokers Angie and Glenn Cullen.
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
CC: Finding a home for a client. Being a part of one of the biggest decisions of a client’s life is a big responsibility, but one that I embrace. Guiding the client through an emotional process to find that perfect home is the most rewarding aspect of being a Realtor.
NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
CC: AirBnB experience and ownership.
NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
CC: Besides the giant white beard, a laid back but professional approach.
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
CC: Friendly, practical, funny, dedicated, and professional.
NR: Who would be your dream client?
CC: A Pittsburgh Steelers player.
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
CC: Find an agent you can trust.
NR: What is your favorite season in Asheville?
CC: Spring.
