Nester Nancy Massey recently sat down with her client Kendra Crabtree and her sweet puppy, Percy, to review her home buying experience.

Recently, I was fortunate to to work with first-time home buyer, Kendra Crabtree. Together, we found Kendra the perfect home. Kendra is a great example of a young buyer who gave thoughtful consideration to the purchase process. And, she’s really cool!
Nancy Massey: What brought you to the NRV?
Kendra Crabtree: I came to the NRV for a job. I was living in Knoxville, TN, before and thought I wanted to move to a bigger city than Knoxville. But when the right fit comes along for a job you take it. Turns out a smaller town was just the right fit for me too!
NM: What were your top three priorities when searching for a home?
KC: A garage! It is one of those things some people can live without but I have never had one before. I also wanted to be in a quiet neighborhood and have easy access to shopping.
NM: What do you love about where you live?
KC: It is so quiet! And the CHS football field is a stone’s throw away. I love that my space is really great for entertaining. I am looking forward to dinner parties and must-see-TV watch parties.
NM: Where’s your favorite place to visit, and what is is your favorite thing to do in the NRV?
KC: I do love the local shops and restaurants. I am a big movie watcher so I love going to the Lyric for those special showings of things you can’t see anywhere else. I also love Frank’s because the seats are so comfortable!
NM: What’s next on your bucket list?
KC: I am young but a lot of my bucket list has been accomplished. I have had the fortune of traveling a lot and now I have bought my first home! I would love to go on a spiritual pilgrimage somewhere in Europe. That is definitely on my bucket list.
NM: If you had to sum up your Nest experience in 5 words or less, what would they be?
KC: I was taken care of.
