In this installment, we chat with Casey Thompson, an agent with Nest Realty in Louisville, Kentucky.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! What brought you to Louisville?
Casey Thompson: I moved to Louisville in 2009 to attend the University of Louisville.
NR: How did you get into real estate?
CT: I was at a job that wasn’t filling my cup, so I decided to take real estate courses. It was the best decision of my life!
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
CT: I was a court designated worker who worked with juveniles. That prepared me for real estate by teaching me patience and great interpersonal skills.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
CT: I saw the ability to grow at Nest with a great team behind me.
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
CT: Every part of the job! From finding the perfect home for my clients to generating the most profit for my sellers.
NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
CT: When I first started real estate, I would say my expertise was investment properties to flip. Now that I’ve been in the industry for seven years, I can say that I have expertise in all fields of real estate.
NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
CT: My problem solving skills and ability to adapt to any situation I’m handed.
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
CT: Reliable, genuine, trustworthy, practical, and resourceful.
NR: Who would be your dream client?
CT: Martha Stewart!
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
CT: Ask a lot of questions and ALWAYS use a knowledgeable real estate agent!
NR: What is your favorite season in Louisville?
CT: I love Derby season in Louisville!
