In this installment, we chat with agent Grace Franklin, a Broker with Nest Realty in Lake Norman, North Carolina.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! Where are you from? What brought you to Lake Norman?
Grace Franklin: I am originally from western New York and came down to Lake Norman about five years ago. I fell in love with the area and decided to stick around! It has many outdoor activities, which I love. Growing up on a horse farm, we were always outside!
NR: How did you get into real estate?
GF: I have always been interested. I was feeling burnt out at my previous job and was ready to jump into something new!
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
GF: Veterinary technician. This has helped teach me to properly explain and communicate with clients in a step-by-step process.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
GF: Nest agent Mary Lou Webb snatched me up. She previously sold me my home.
NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
GF: I think I can see the potential in homes if buyers are looking for a “fixer upper.”
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
GF: Honest, outgoing, caring, loyal, and precise.
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
GF: Slow down and take a deep breath. It seems overwhelming, but that is what your agent is there for. We are here to help make everything as seamless and easy as possible!
NR: What is your favorite season in Lake Norman?
GF: Late summer/fall, when the weather is starting to cool down but it is still light out in the evenings.
