In this installment, we chat with agent Jared McKnight, a Broker with Nest Realty in Asheville, North Carolina.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! What brought you to the area?
Jared McKnight: I first begin traveling here on vacation like most people, and I fell in love with the weather, the beauty of the mountains, the people, the vibe of the city. It just seemed like the perfect fit for me.
NR: How did you get into real estate?
JM: I’ve always been attracted to architecture, lighting, and design. Having worked in the hotel/hospitality industry for so long, it was the next logical step for me.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
JM: I appreciate the boutique feel and the small group of highly experienced Brokers. Nobody does marketing and reaches out to clients like Nest.
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
JM: Getting to truly know the clients and their families, forming lasting friendships, and being part of their story, it’s BIG!
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
JM: Honest, passionate, determined, credible, and genuine.
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
JM: Find an agent you can trust.
NR: What is your favorite season in Asheville?
JM: Having lived in the deep south my whole life I enjoy all of them, we get four actual distinct seasons. Fall is probably my top pick.
