In this installment, we chat with Jennifer Lynne Smith, a Realtor® with Nest Realty in Louisville, Kentucky.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! What brought you to Louisville?
Jennifer Lynne Smith: I was born in Florida and moved with my family to Louisville when I was four years old. I lived in the same place until I was 18 and moved to Bullitt County, where I have been ever since! I love being near a bigger city, but also being out of the city.
NR: How did you get into real estate?
JLS: I have always had a passion for real estate, whether just looking at what’s new, fixing up houses, or helping my friends and family buy and sell houses. When I was able to work on getting my license, I jumped at the opportunity!
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
JLS: My degree is in justice administration and I worked as a 911 dispatcher and then for the fire department. I learned my way around all of Louisville and how to handle multiple things at once.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
JLS: I love the atmosphere at Nest Realty and the helpfulness of everyone there!
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
JLS: Helping people reach their dreams. Hands down.
NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
JLS: I’m not an expert by any means, but I am thorough and well rounded with my experience.
NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
I’m not sure that it is different, but I LOVE helping people pick out the perfect home for them and getting to know them, their families, and their needs and wants. I WORK for my clients and do everything I can to JLS: make sure they achieve their real estate goals.
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
JLS: Honest, reliable, thorough, hardworking, and motivated.
NR: Who would be your dream client?
JLS: Hmmmm. Anyone famous would be kind of cool!
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
JLS: Buy and keep up your home and pay any extra towards principal that you can.
NR: What is your favorite season in Louisville?
JLS: I love fall and spring. Not too cold, not too hot!
