In this installment, we chat with agent Jessica Edwards, a Broker with Nest Realty in Lake Norman, North Carolina.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! What brought you to Lake Norman?
Jessica Edwards: I grew up in New York and was ready to leave the snow behind me.
NR: How did you get into real estate?
JE: I’d been passionate about real estate for years. I enjoyed searching for the perfect rental property for myself and often researched potential properties for friends and family, so working in real estate was a logical next step for me.
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
JE: I spent eight years in marketing and event planning and had also worked as a flight attendant for a major airline for more than three years. My past experience has taught me the importance of listening to clients’ needs and creating a personalized approach to achieve their goals.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty as opposed to another brokerage?
JE: Initially, I was captivated by Nest Realty’s marketing, but quickly learned that Nest has some of the most passionate and knowledgeable agents in the real estate industry. I look forward to learning from them!
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
JE: I love helping people find their dream homes!
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
JE: Friendly, reliable, enthusiastic, detail oriented, and diligent.
NR: Who would be your dream client?
JE: I’m happy to work with anyone, but I definitely enjoy working with first-time homebuyers and anyone relocating, as I can personally relate to them!
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
JE: Establish your priorities and ask questions—your home is a big investment and you want it to meet your needs!
NR: What is your favorite season in Lake Norman?
JE: It’s tough to choose between spring and summer. I’m a fan of warm weather!
