We’re proud of the team of agents we’ve assembled here at Nest Realty. We think they’re pretty awesome, and we think you will, too. During our “Meet the Agent” series, we sit down with our agents and brokers to learn more about them, what makes them tick, and why they’re passionate about the real estate industry.
In this installment, we chat with Jon Corbin, a Nest Realtor in Asheville, North Carolina.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! What brought you to the area?
Jon Corbin: I was born in Asheville in 1973. Lived in other places, but came back for good after high school in 1991.
NR: How did you get into real estate? How long have you been practicing?
JC: I began my career in 1998 right out of college. My grandfather was a broker and developer and someone I always admired.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
JC: After running my own independent real estate firm for 25 years, I decided it was the right time in my career to let someone else lead. I respect Angie and Glenn and have always been drawn to the Nest brand.
NR: What’s your favorite part of being an agent?
JC: Helping people and providing experienced and ethical guidance
NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
JC: I have been an exclusive buyer’s agent for the vast majority of my career, so I am very comfortable with their needs.
NR: What are five adjectives to describe you?
JC: Honest, patient, experienced, loyal, and fun
NR: Who would be your dream client?
JC: Down to earth, easy-going, and in love with the natural beauty of the area
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
JC: Don’t be afraid to ask questions
NR: What’s your favorite season in Asheville?
JC: Fall, for the beauty, temperature, and perfect mountain biking conditions
