Meet the Agent: Kameron Lewis

Kameron Lewis

We’re proud of the team of agents we’ve assembled here at Nest Realty. We think they’re pretty awesome, and we think you will too. During our “Meet the Agent” series, we sit down with our agents to learn more about them, what makes them tick, and why they’re passionate about the real estate industry. In this installment, we chat with Kameron Lewis, a REALTOR with Nest Realty Shenandoah Valley.

Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! What brought you to the area?
Kameron Lewis: I was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley, then lived in Colorado for nine years, and now I’m so happy to be back home.

NR: How did you get into real estate?
KL: After seven years in the fire and flood restoration business, I decided to pivot within the industry. This previous position helped to prepare me for the real estate industry by helping people navigate through some of their most difficult moments after a flood or fire. I’ve now been practicing real estate for 13 months, and I bring with me the ability to empathize and remain calm throughout the ups and downs in a transaction.

NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
KL: The branding that Nest Realty offers as well as the “at home” feeling of the brokerage spoke to me more than any other brokerage in town.

NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
KL: My favorite part of being an agent is the relationship building that goes into helping buyers and sellers.

NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
KL: My past work experience in fire and flood restoration has allowed me to have an understanding of what goes into rebuilding a home and has sharpened my skillset to envision spaces within the constraints of a budget.

NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
KL: Empathetic, cheerful, intuitive, quirky, and lighthearted.

NR: Who would be your dream client?
KL: My dream client is any buyer or seller open to advice.

NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
KL: My advice to a first-time home buyer is to be patient. There are so many factors that go into a successful real estate transaction—from the offer all the way to the closing table—it can be very easy to get frustrated with the highs and lows.

NR: What is your favorite season in the Valley?
KL: Choosing a favorite season is so hard! In Virginia though, it’s probably the fall season; the changing leaves, crisp air, etc.
