Meet the Agent: Laurie Gardner

We’re proud of the team of agents we’ve assembled here at Nest Realty. We think they’re pretty awesome, and we think you will, too. During Nest Stories’ “Meet the Agent” series, we sit down with our agents and brokers to learn more about them, what makes them tick, and why they’re passionate about the real estate industry.

In this installment, we chat with Laurie Gardner, an agent in Asheville, NC.

Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! What brought you to the area?
Laurie Gardner: I had been told how great the Asheville area was for quite some time, so I packed everything up and came on down from Maryland. I have lived here now for a little over ten years.

NR: How did you get into real estate?
LG: Looking to manage my own time and be able to spend time with my family. I was first licensed in 2020!

NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
LG: Right when I sat down and started chatting with one of the owners and another agent, I just had a great feeling. I was also very impressed with all the things they have to offer, not only myself but for my clients.

NR: What’s your favorite part of being an agent?
LG: Seeing all the beautiful homes and hoping one is the perfect fit for my clients.

NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
LG: I think I am good at helping my clients picture the home in the way that will suit them. It is sometimes hard to look past when you see someone else belongings inside a home.

NR: What are five adjectives to describe you?
LG: Friendly, respectful, kind, upbeat, caring

NR: Who would be your dream client? (This can be funny—a famous person, or celebrity, or a general type of person.)
LG: John Cusack. When he finds his dream home, he will hold his boombox over his head in his trench coat, then I will know we found the one.

NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
LG: I would just remind them to take a deep breathe. It can be very overwhelming but I am here to help them through.

NR: What’s your favorite season in Asheville?
LG: Fall. I just love sweaters, sweats, leaves falling, pumpkins, fall candles, coffee and the cool crisp air.

Laurie’s gift is being able to speak with someone and understand exactly what they are looking for in a home…one that fits their vision and lifestyle perfectly. Contact her here to get started.

Spread the love
