In this installment, we chat with agent Matthew Woodson, a Broker with Nest Realty in Greene County, Virginia.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! What brought you to this area?
Matthew Woodson: I was born and raised in Greene County.
NR: How did you get into real estate?
MW: I have always liked working with people, so when the opportunity to sell real estate came, I jumped right in.
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
MW: I ran a family hardware store in Ruckersville and had relationships with most everyone in the community. When I transitioned to real estate, building my client database was easy.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
MW: I decided that the management and systems that Nest offered were better suited for my needs now.
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
MW: Working with people and staying engaged in the community.
NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
MW: My knowledge of county regulations and long standing relationships with local officials allow me to offer accurate and up to date information to clients that they may not find elsewhere.
NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
MW: My knowledge of the area.
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
MW: Loyal, attentive, available, funny, and easy-going.
NR: Who would be your dream client?
MW: Tiger Woods.
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
MW: Be realistic!
