We’re proud of the team of agents we’ve assembled here at Nest Realty. We think they’re pretty awesome, and we think you will, too. During Nest Stories’ “Meet the Agent” series, we sit down with our agents and brokers to learn more about them, what makes them tick, and why they’re passionate about the real estate industry.
In this installment, we chat with Mimi McCracken, an agent in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! What brought you to the area?
Mimi McCracken: I am a native to Greene County and spent a lot of my time growing up in Charlottesville.
NR: How did you get into real estate?
MM: Before making the move to real estate, I worked in marketing. What I love about marketing is setting goals, mapping out a strategy to reach those goals, and seeing the growth from achieving those goals. I am excited to incorporate that and help my clients achieve their real estate goals.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
MM: I wanted to be part of the Nest team because of the high level of training, resources, and brand reputation. I’m excited to be part of a company that values working for the greater good, cares for their agents and clients, and cultivates relationships
NR: What’s your favorite part of being an agent?
MM: Working with people from all walks of life. I enjoy building relationships with my clients and being part of such an important part of their life.
NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
MM: My husband is a tradesman and we have been renovating our home for the last three years together. That experience has taught me a lot about how homes are built, what to look for, and how to fix things the right way. With that experience, I believe I will be able to better advocate for my clients and guide them in their real estate journey.
NR: What are five adjectives to describe you?
MM: practical, resourceful, intuitive, empathetic, and ambitious
NR: Who would be your dream client?
MM: My dream client would have to be Jerry Seinfeld. How much fun would it be to ride around town and show homes to Jerry Seinfeld? I’d like to believe I would be laughing the whole time.
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
MM: Have patience and trust your agent.
NR: What’s your favorite season in Virginia?
MM: 100 percent Fall…I am a cool weather girl all the way. I love those crisp fall mornings with some hot coffee.
