Meet the Agent: Pat Dillon

Pat Dillon

We’re proud of the team of agents we’ve assembled here at Nest Realty. We think they’re pretty awesome, and we think you will too. During our “Meet the Agent” series, we sit down with our agents to learn more about them, what makes them tick, and why they’re passionate about the real estate industry. In this installment, we chat with agent Pat Dillon, a Broker with Nest Realty in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! What brought you to the area?
Pat Dillon: Like many of my clients who have relocated from the Northeast, my family decided that North Carolina offered a more laid-back lifestyle, beautiful weather, and great Triangle area schools for our three children. Chapel Hill welcomed us more than 20 years ago and we never looked back.

NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
PD: Nest agents are dedicated to their craft. They bring a great depth of local area knowledge and positive can-do energy. They are all about relationships. Clients often become friends. That’s the kind of passion for serving clients that I wanted to be around.

NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
PD: I don’t approach my work as simply selling real estate; I help my clients connect with community. Whether that means living downtown, in a neighborhood with amenities, or finding a property with a little more space, it fits them perfectly. Like peeling an onion, we slowly pull back the layers until we uncover what they really want to find in their next home. There’s nothing better to me than making that happen for folks.

NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
PD: Calm, friendly, relentless, focused, and knowledgeable.

NR: Who would be your dream client?
PD: Definitely Steve Martin. We’d laugh the whole time. He’s so talented. Did you know that he first popularized using the air quotes gesture on Saturday Night Live and in standup performances?

NR: Mountains or beach?
PD: I get that question a lot from folks considering a move to the Triangle area. My answer is emphatically BOTH! The Triangle area is the ideal location for easy access to beautiful mountain destinations and picturesque beach towns. They are magnificent any time of year.

NR: Do you have any favorite local hiking spots?
PD: Occoneechee Mountain State Park and the Riverwalk in Hillsborough. Eno River State Park in Durham. And a slightly longer drive to Hanging Rock State Park, which has a variety of trails. Sometimes just a hike around the neighborhood with my dog, Atticus, gets me outside and enjoying nature.
