In this installment, we chat with Renata Kuperus, a Broker with Nest Realty in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! What brought you to Wilmington?
Renata Kuperus: I was born and raised in Brazil and came to Wilmington for an internship. During my time here, I met my now hubby. 🙂 We dated long distance for a while and decided to tie the knot during one of my visits to Wilmington!
NR: How did you get into real estate?
RK: Out of the blue, honestly! One of my good friends, practically a brother to me, invited me to join his team after I had my little girl. I was looking into some job opportunities, and when he invited me, I got confirmation that this was the right choice for me!
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
RK: Dentist. It didn’t, haha! All jokes aside, when you choose a dentist, you choose someone with good personality traits, just like when you choose a real estate agent. They both are trustworthy, leaders, excited about their career, easy to talk to, and good listeners, but most of all, they both are passionate about providing care to those in need. In real estate, I’m passionate about providing care, assistance, guidance, and expertise to those wanting to take the next big step in their lives.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
RK: The marketing tools, without a doubt! I get so many compliments from friends, clients, and family saying that they love how my marketing brings items of value to them!
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
RK: Interaction with people! Being able to make their dreams come true. It’s so satisfying to see the look on their faces when they find “the house” they have been looking for and they start making plans for their future in it!
NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
RK: Ambition, drive, and charisma.
NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
RK: Tactics and passion.
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
RK: Determined, compassionate, hardworking, loyal, and RESILIENT!!!!
NR: Who would be your dream client?
RK: Ryan Reynolds!
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
RK: Trust your real estate expert!
NR: What is your favorite season in Wilmington?
RK: Fall.
