In this installment, we chat with Samantha Clark, an agent with Nest Realty in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! What brought you to the area?
Samantha Clark: I was born and raised in Blacksburg, Virginia, and I’m excited to be back home in a community I love.
NR: How did you get into real estate?
SC: I wanted to be in a career I knew I would thrive in and love, so after being a stay at home mom for so long, I decided to take my courses and hop right into real estate.
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
SC: I have a background in early childhood education and had multiple customer service jobs. Every day was different, and I think it taught me to be adaptive to that day’s obstacles.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
SC: I have been eyeing Nest for some time now, and I was ready for a change. I relate to the way they run their business and find it to be a great environment and business.
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
SC: Helping the people of our community to reach their goals.
NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
SC: Helping to make the process of buying or selling a smooth, happy experience.
NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
SC: My honesty! I find that when walking through a home, if there is something that jumps out at me as a future expense to my clients or something I may be able to further research for them, I will. I want my clients to trust that I am there for their best interests.
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
SC: Bubbly, outgoing, helpful, devoted, and sincere.
NR: Who would be your dream client?
SC: Any cast member from FRIENDS; the obsession is real!
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
SC: Take the time to talk to the neighbors of a home you are thinking of buying. Drive back through the neighborhood at different hours of the day and get a feel for everyday life on the street. This is where you will plant your roots, so take interest in where you are growing.
NR: What is your favorite season in Blacksburg?
SC: Fall! FOOTBALL, LEAVES, WEATHER!
