Meet the Agent: Sarah Rominger

We think we have some pretty awesome agents here at Nest, and we think you’ll like them too. During our “Meet the Agent” series, we sit down with our agents to learn more about them—what makes them tick and why they’re passionate about the real estate industry. For this installment we speak with our newest Asheville agent, Sarah Rominger.

Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! Where are you from? What brought you to Asheville, North Carolina?
Sarah Rominger: I’m a native “Ashevillian.” I moved away for undergrad for four years, and those four years felt like an eternity. As much as I love to travel and experience new places and things, I always find myself craving everything that is home.

NR: How did you get into real estate?
SR: I’ve had a photography business for the last seven years, and I just found myself getting really burnt out. After doing some soul searching, I realized that the reasoning behind my work was always more about the people I was serving and less about creating art. Once I got my real estate license, I hit the ground running and haven’t looked back!

NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
SR: I was the owner of a wedding photography business. It was a very relationship driven line of work, and I love that the two career fields overlap in that way. I’m very equipped to work in fast-paced, high stress environments and have a strong attentiveness to detail.

NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
SR: Hands down, Nest has the best branding and presentation in town. Nest’s brand is professional and refined, yet it’s still very relatable and friendly. That is a hard balance to find, and I believe Nest has truly achieved that. I also love that Nest is much smaller than most other local firms—it brings a larger sense of camaraderie.

NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
SR: Being able to help and serve my clients by delivering exceptional customer service. I believe in finding that amazing balance between being a true professional, yet also being warm and approachable.

NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
SR: Being a native, I have knowledge of the area which usually takes an agent several years to acquire. I also have a strong business background and an emphasis on creative marketing. I’m known for my ability to provide my clients with unparalleled customer service.

NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
SR: Spunky, genuine, warm, adventurous, and loyal.

NR: Who would be your dream client?
SR: Someone who keeps me on my toes, and asks questions which challenge me and help me to grow, yet someone who trusts my judgment and knows that I’m going to take the absolute best care of them!

NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
SR: Take it as slow as you’d like, and make sure to take it all in. There’s something so special about buying your first home! Know that I am here 110% to help guide you through the process in any way I can.

NR: What is your favorite season in Asheville?
SR: Part of the reason Asheville is such a wonderful place to live is because we experience every season in nearly perfect moderation. My favorite parts of the year are when the seasons are changing!
