During our “Meet the Agent” series, we sit down with our agents to learn more about them, what makes them tick, and why they’re passionate about the real estate industry. In this installment, we chat with The Cottage Luxury Group, a team of Brokers with Nest Realty. Our team serves the greater Lake Norman/Charlotte area.

Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! What brought you to Lake Norman?
Cottage Luxury Group: Our team all had different pathways to Nest Realty. Our backgrounds span from NASCAR to health and wellness, counseling in higher education, teaching, and recruitment.

NR: How did you get into real estate?
CLG: For many of us, transitioning into real estate was made possible through a large life change that brought us to the area.

NR: What were your previous careers? How has that prepared you for real estate?
CLG: All our previous careers prepared us to provide top notch service to our clients and gave us the sensitivity to approach each client and their real estate goals individually and confidentially.

NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
CLG: The personalized boutique feel of Nest Realty was important to us. We value the importance of incredible marketing, a focus on the client, and the value of a community based brokerage.

NR: What is your favorite part of being agents?
CLG: We love being a professional consultant to our clients and helping them achieve their real estate goals, whether it’s a primary home or investment property.

NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
CLG: Our team focuses on the Lake Norman area. We work the entire Charlotte market, but we all live, work, and play at LKN.

NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
CLG: We truly can offer a wide range of services to our clients. Not only are we Brokers, but we also provide property management, complimentary staging, design consultations, investment property analysis, and more within the specialties of our team.

NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
CLG: Driven, friendly, thorough, knowledgeable, and dedicated.

NR: Who would be your dream client?
CLG: We love working with clients who are looking for a collaborator. It truly takes a team collaboration approach to successfully get to the closing table.

NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
CLG: Remember that your first home is not your forever home! Most people move every three to five years, so find a home that you like, and know that in a few years you’ll most likely make a change.

NR: What is your favorite season in Lake Norman?
CLG: Our favorite season is fall. That’s when our annual client appreciation event happens each year.
