NAR Conference 2014

Four of our Nesters recently attended the National Association of RealtorsĀ® (NAR) Annual Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. From the Charlottesville office, John Ince and Arleen Yobs made the journey, along with Tina Merritt and Jeremy Hart from the New River Valley office. We checked in with Jeremy to see how it went.

Nest Realty: So Jeremy, how was it?

Jeremy Hart: I really enjoyed the attending NAR in New Orleans – being surrounded by that many Realtors from around the world, set against the backdrop of a city that is literally rebuilding, was exciting.

NR: Have you been to a NAR conference before?

JH: This was the first time I’d taken advantage of the opportunity to go, and it was well worth the effort.

NR: What was the highlight of the conference?

JH: As I’ve served on the Data Strategies Committee, I’ve really enjoyed hearing perspectives from agents in other states, and it’s exciting to see our work moving forward. Additionally, having the chance to sit on sessions taught by some amazing, active Realtors was really pretty cool. And the takeaways from those sessions were fantastic.

NR: Having the conference in New Orleans must have beenĀ great.

JH: The conversations in the hallways, and in the French Quarter, with agents from literally around the world was, again, just incredible.

NR: Sounds like you found the entire event to be really valuable. Would you recommend that other real estate professionals attend next year?

JH: Yes! Make sure you find a way to fit next year’s conference, to be held in San Diego, into your schedule!
