Congratulations to two outstanding Nesters!
On January 4, 2018, at the Charlottesville Area Association of REALTORS (CAAR) Installation Event, two Nesters received prestigious appointments. In the ceremony that took place at the Boar’s Head Resort, Nest Broker Arleen Yobs was installed as the CAAR 2018 President, and Nest Agent Andrea Hubbell received the CAAR Rising Star of the Year Award for 2017. Over 200 guests were in attendance, including members and leadership from local industry partners and Virginia REALTORS®.
During the installation, the 2018 CAAR Board of Officers and Directors were appointed. Our very own Arleen Yobs was installed as the CAAR 2018 President. Arleen has been an active member of the Association since 1985, and has served on the Board of Directors for nine years. She is an advocate for the REALTOR® Political Action Committee (RPAC), and is a member of the Women’s Council of REALTORS® Blue Ridge. Arleen shares. “I feel honored to have been elected by CAAR membership to fulfill the role of President of our Association in 2018, and I look forward to the collaborative results that our Board can achieve. Over my 33 years as a REALTOR, I have often struggled with the perception from the public, that we are in the business only to sell homes and make lots of money. Being a REALTOR is so much more! It is my hope as CAAR President for 2018, that together we can strive to raise awareness of REALTORS as professional leaders in their industry, that REALTORS are the premier source for real estate information, and that REALTORS make difference in their communities by effecting positive change and growth.” We are so proud of Arleen and her ongoing commitment to our community. Arleen, we are honored to call you a member of the Nest family.

After the installation portion of the celebration, awards were given out. Nest Realty agent Andrea Hubbell was presented with the Rising Star of the Year award. This award recognizes a REALTOR® member who has held an active salesperson’s license for 18 consecutive months or less and balances sales volume and education with CAAR events and civic duties. Andrea shares, “I am so honored by this recognition, and have so many people to thank for the success of my real estate practice. In what is one of the most stressful moments of our client’s lives, my responsibility as an agent is to be calm, knowledgeable, resourceful, and kind. To all of the agents and affiliates I’ve worked with on transactions this last 18 months; I’ve learned so much from the examples you’ve each set. Thank you for your kindness. I owe so much to my Nest family, who provide an endless system of support, encouragement, and knowledge. And finally, to the clients, friends, and colleagues who have supported, encouraged, trusted and referred me: thank you, thank you, thank you!”

This award recognizes a CAAR affiliate member who goes the extra step to help further the goals and objectives of the Association, CAAR members, their clients, and the community at large.
