Since I launched the Nest Realty web site a little over a week ago, I’ve been overwhelmed with the positive feedback from friends, clients, co-workers, and everyone else who has emailed or called. I’ve also gotten some great suggestions (I’m working on a few changes already) – and I appreciate that feedback also.
But the post from the guys at 1000 Watt Consulting takes the cake. Here’s a quick excerpt:
What’s he’s done is killer. There are some things I might change, but I’m not going to quibble here. The point is Jonathan created something excellent. It’s worth serious study.
Jonathan’s site is better in terms of design, usability and brand coherence than almost all big broker sites. Indeed, some of the major brands could benefit from going to school on it.
For those of you unfamiliar with 1000 Watt: they’re on the forefront of pretty much everything relating to real estate innovation, technology, and web sites. This past Fall, they produced one of the most informative real estate-related reports I have ever read that analyzed the top real estate brokerage web sites in the country. I used that report as a guide to help create the Nest site.
So, it’s great to get positive feedback from them. I didn’t just want to create a web site that simply allowed users to search the Charlottesville MLS. I wanted a lot more. 1000 Watt’s report helped tremendously. And I couldn’t have done it without the guys at Blue Ion – they were instrumental in getting this site to where it is today.
But we’re not stopping here. We’re looking for ways to improve the Nest site. I’ve got a list of ideas that we’re already working on. If you’re using this site and have an idea (or multiple ideas), I’d love to hear from you.
Thanks to everyone for the feedback and stay tuned to the Nest Report. We’ve got some more big announcements coming soon…
