Should you Tom Tom?
Yes. Yes you should.
Held every spring in Downtown Charlottesville, the Tom Tom Founders Festival celebrates the birthday of Thomas Jefferson. Like Jefferson’s own interests, Tom Tom’s schedule of events is truly eclectic—featuring innovators in technology, food, booze, and the arts (to name a few).
The 2015 festival runs Monday, April 13th through Sunday, April 19th. We’ll be attending a few of the free block parties, taking in shows from many of the more than 60 scheduled bands, and soaking up knowledge at several of the entrepreneurial lectures and venture capital contests.
And if you’re a foodie, the Iron Chef Competition and the Downtown Chili Showdown should feature some delicious competition.
Bonus points if you snap a pic of the newly painted Charlottesville Area Transit free trolley painted by Tom Tom artist in residence Mickael Broth. (Hint, it’s traveling the UVA-Downtown route.)
