The third must-do for this summer in Wilmington is to unwind at Waterman’s Brewing Company, a new brewing company that opened this month on July 4th! Their stated mission is to provide “quality craft beers brewed in tribute to all who make life on or in the ocean” and to “serve in a comfortable community oriented setting.” Waterman’s Brewing Company offers fresh beer that is brewed on-site, a growing trend in the Wilmington area. It’s the 10th brewery of its kind!
The brewery serves other locally-brewed beers in addition their own. Currently, they have three beers available but plan to have a rotation of six beers once the site finds its footing. Waterman’s also has a kitchen with a constantly rotating food menu and a very prominent brewing room that was custom-built by the head brewer, Zac Brown. But the owner wants to keep the focus on the brews.
