How did you two meet?

After watching him in the college dining hall for weeks, Priscilla bravely approached Ben at a party with a killer one-liner.

Favorite local nonprofit organizations?

GenerationsHope, who serves teen moms and New Creation, who helps prevent human trafficking + provide a next step to survivors.

Favorite time of year?

Fall in the Valley is tough to beat. Cooler weather, beautiful trees, football, sleeping with the windows open, + wood-burning fireplaces are all our favorites.

Morning people or night owls?

Night owls. Once we get all three kids to bed, we're like Mel Gibson in Braveheart..."Freedom!"

    My husband and I were definitive outsiders coming to Staunton, VA from California. We were interested in moving to the area and did not know where to start. A local relative recommended calling Ben Halterman. Ben was quick to respond and set up a time to chat. We met with Ben at the gorgeous Nest offices in downtown Staunton. Ben was warm, welcoming, and began learning more about my husband and self. He expressed how wonderful it was to see two people coming from out of state who saw the beauty in Augusta county. Ben was born and raised there and knew what a hidden gem the area is. Overall, it was one of the best real estate interactions I have ever had. It was relaxed and pressure free. I would highly recommend Ben to anyone looking to buy.

Once, we settled on a new home, he gave us great guidance. He is a very special person who we got to know and who got to know us during this process.
