Jessica has a passion for real estate, and always knew she wanted to work within the industry. She initially worked with a new home builder and has played other roles within the real estate world over the years.

She enjoys taking on every aspect of the journey: listening to the needs of her clients, timing, consulting, and problem solving—and this is just the beginning! Once we are under contract, there is another world of connections, contractors, and contingencies to get through! Though we talked a couple of times by telephone to establish a list of home criteria we did not meet until my first trip to Charlottesville with my husband. We'd come "just to look" and see if this truly "felt" like our next home. What happened next was nothing short of magical. After an hour or two of driving around Charlottesville touring neighborhoods with Jessica and hearing local anecdotes, recommendations and history we drove up to THE HOUSE. This was it. I could feel it before we even walked through the front door. Jessica was flexible and able to work with us to write an offer that afternoon. We crossed our fingers and held our breath and then.... the house was ours! Jessica is an experienced and professional negotiator. She knew how to write an offer that would be accepted. She was the perfect guide. She knew what inspections to have done, who to call, what issues were important and what we shouldn't worry about. Her advice was always skillfully delivered and spot on. As we were in Colorado during the inspections and negotiations she was our eyes and ears and we trusted her implicitly. Jessica truly made this a very easy smooth experience. I believe it is partially due to her intelligent and gentle guidance that we've since become friends with the previous owner of our house and we have had nothing but positive experiences in the entire process. -

I knew the type of house I was looking for, but not much about the city's neighborhoods. Jessica drove us between houses so we'd be able to look at the areas, and also gave us an overview of each neighborhood as we drove. We ended up seeing 8 houses total over the two days in what would otherwise have been an overwhelming whirlwind, but Jessica's good humor and insightfulness helped keep us grounded. We found the home of our dreams, and Jessica helped us through the bidding process, as well as through the whole purchase process (which is different from the process of buying a home in our home state). She has also been an invaluable resource with contractors/repairmen and has continued to provide excellent support even after the transaction closed. I cannot recommend her enough! -

We worked with her both long distance and in person as we laid out our goals for our new home, searched existing homes, made the decision to build, and planned and oversaw construction and completion. Jessica’s counsel and advice was invaluable at all decision points along the way, from structural and design choices to financing. She was always readily available by phone, email and text, and made it a point to be with us in person as we met with the builder multiple times over many months and then did walkthroughs and inspections with us right through to move-in. Jessica was our advocate and enthusiastic cheerleader throughout what can be a challenging process but for us, thanks to her and a superb builder, was smooth sailing. I emailed Jessica Russo and she responded quickly, we discussed my needs in a home and then set up a date to see available homes. I did not have a lot of time to drive back and forth from out of state, which was a big obstacle. Jessica listened to the details I gave her, selected a variety of excellent homes to see, and I was able to select home immediately. Buying a home in Virginia is a bit different from the state I was moving from and Jessica guided me through the whole process, beginning to end. Jessica paid attention details and kept me informed of upcoming deadlines, meetings, and paper work/documents. She made the home buying process seamless and painless because she is thorough, pays attention to details and communicates well with the buyer and the seller. I was concerning of the noise from ongoing construction around a new townhome. The complexity of the process was intimidating to me as a first time homebuyer (especially while buying with a VA loan), and Jessica never failed to make me feel comfortable and informed about each step. When searching for my home, Jessica keyed in on what I wanted and needed in my search faster than I did myself - I came to trust her recommendations about new properties and valued her input about the local area. Her immense understanding of the process and local area led to me never having an unanswered question. After going under contract for my home Jessica ensured that I was well-informed and understood every part of the process. There were moments where I discovered some piece of work that had to happen behind the scenes, only to find that I didn't need to worry about it as she had already taken care of it. Nothing about the process - from the traditional steps to the additional VA requirements - ever made Jessica falter in any way.
