Having spent the formative years of her life in Williamsburg, Virginia, Karen first came to Charlottesville to attend the University of Virginia and quickly fell in love with the neighboring landscapes and energy the city has to offer. Following a graduate degree from UVA, she promoted the beauty and life of Charlottesville to countless prospective students at the Darden Graduate School of Business. Karen was awarded CAAR's Rookie of the Year early in her career and has since built her business on referrals and happy clients. As our needs changed, we decided that the best course of action would be to sell and embark on building a new house. Our first call was to Karen to discuss our plans. With her expert guidance she advised us in March that it was a good time to sell and that it would be best to target the late spring/early summer as our time-frame. This gave us time to make some repairs and prepare mentally for the sale as well as look for local builders to discuss pre-constructions with. We finally listed the property in early May based on Karen's recommendations for timing as well as asking price and on the first weekend we held by-appointment showings. We immediately received 5 offers, all well above our asking price. We are still amazed that we sold so quickly and for such a premium over asking and greatly thank Karen for her expert guidance, phenomenal negotiating skills and continual communication through the process making it so easy and worthwhile.We are now engaged in a contract to build a new home and Karen is representing us!
