Building our forever home in Crozet from the ground up with a local builder.

Favorite way to stay active?

As a former UVA and then professional runner, I'm hooked on doing local runs on trails and our hilly gravel roads to stay in shape.

Best green energy tip?

Solar panels have been a great investment for us. I enjoy our $7 power bill every month and enjoy sharing how to harness the sun's energy with any home.

Where can we find you on the weekend?

Anything that involves mountain views! Taking a family bike ride in our neighborhood, picnicking and polo at King Family Vineyard, or hitting the slopes in the winter at Wintergreen.

Annual or repeat event in Charlottesville to attend?

The first UVA football game pep rally on the Downtown Mall. The UVA marching band, local townies, the football coaches, fire department, Cav Man...all come together and take over the Downtown Mall to kick off the season!

What keeps you busy when you’re not working?

Our AirBnB in our two-bedroom apartment above our detached three-car garage. We enjoy meeting the variety of guests who come through and introducing them to the fun spots in our town.

    Dawn did a fantastic job guiding me through my first home purchase. My job has incredibly unpredictable hours and leaves me very little time to fully engage in the home buying process. However, Dawn made it effortless. She was always available and always very responsive to the litany of questions that I had. Her attention to detail was impeccable and her follow-through is unparalleled. After I found a home to go under contract on Dawn handled EVERYTHING. From finding all the specialists who would be needed to inspect the home to even finding a chimney sweep on the fly when some doubts were raised by the home inspection she was not just on top of it, but always one step ahead and made the whole process seamless. She takes the time to really devote 1 on 1 attention to her clients and is really phenomenal at her job. I could not recommend her more highly.

    Dawn is one of the best realtors I've had the chance to work with. She goes above and beyond in all aspects. In this crazy market, her understanding of how to write a contract so we received the winning bid proved to be so valuable. I learned so much about each house as I walked through them. Her experience with flipping homes is an added bonus you didn't even know you needed in a realtor. Even after the contract was done and the closing was complete, Dawn has still been there for me with any needs or to answer all my questions.

    Dawn is one of the reasons we moved to the Charlottesville area. We stayed at her gorgeous short-term rental on vacation and fell in love with the area. As my husband and I contemplated a move, Dawn was always readily available to answer our questions honestly and knowledgeably. Ultimately, we decided to purchase a new build with Dawn, and could not have been happier with our decision. Dawn partnered with us every step of the way. In addition to helping us find a property, communicate with builders and negotiate our terms and contract, Dawn played an integral role in the design and building process. She is an incredibly talented designer, and comes to the table with deep knowledge of what her clients need to live comfortably. She was in no way contractually obligated to assist with design, yet she was consistently engaged to ensure we got our dream home. When issues came up with our builders, she also proactively stepped in to represent our best interests. Once the building was complete, she went above and beyond to ensure my family felt welcome in the community. I can't imagine receiving this range of services and hospitality from any other realtor. If you are moving to the Charlottesville area and, particularly, if you are building a new home, you have to use Dawn Cromer's team. Thank you Dawn!
