First real estate purchase?

Three acres overlooking the White River in the Arkansas Ozarks. It was the smoothest real estate deal I've ever done!

Dogs or cats?

Both, but any cat in our house must identify as a dog. Ashy showed up one day and is now BFFs with Maple, our redbone.

Complicated coffee?

Never. Drip with a hint of heavy cream.

Hardest thing you've ever done?

1. Surviving Thomas Jefferson High School for Science & Technology, an academically intense high school in Fairfax. 2. Completing the original GORUCK Challenge. 3. My first and last trail marathon.

Whiskey ... ?

Usually neet, sometimes over ice. Actively avoid Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.

Town or Country?

Both. I need my urban fix but there's nothing like coming home over Brent's Gap and seeing those Blue Ridge mountains.

    I worked closely with Yvette to find and close on a property with very specific parameters tied to a very specific vision. Yvette was exceptional in spending the time and energy to really understand what I was looking for and help me find it. She stands apart from most other realtors in her desire to truly understand her client's goals and patient application of skills and knowledge to get them there. She's a true Blue Ridge devotee, and her knowledge of the Central Virginia region was extremely valuable in understanding various properties and market dynamics. She's intelligent, patient and methodical - a rare and fortunate find in a real estate partner.Finding a realtor who can and will engage unique buyer situations is challenging... if you're that "special buyer", I strongly recommend spending some time with Yvette to learn about her talents first-hand.

    What a pleasure it has been working with Yvette! From beginning to end she took the time to inform me of market values, the stages of the sales process, and what to expect. She handled everything staying on top of every little detail which made the experience seamless. Yvette is a skilled and resourceful realtor but in addition she’s an expert in the region.     Highly highly recommend working with Yvette! From the moment we reached out to Yvette, she got straight to work helping us find the right plot of land to build our dream home! Within an hour of getting in touch with her, she had already sent me a ton of information on a plot we were interested in, and she had made plans to drive out to the land to walk the lot herself - this was SO helpful to us, as we lived about a 1.5 hours away and she sent us multiple videos since we couldn't be in person to see the land ourselves. She also helped us navigate a unique, remote closing situation by being the liaison between the different parties (lender, closing office, etc) to ensure a smooth closing process.Yvette is highly knowledgeable, trustworthy, and honest, all of which showed in how she provided recommendations, talked us through factors to consider, and helped us make an offer and purchase a beautiful lot. She kept us informed with what was ahead and directed the attorney for the closing regarding anything that he needed to know.     We came to Yvette with a wild idea- we wanted to buy a old storefront that wasn't for sale. She was up for the adventure and made it happen, she got us into contract! She also supported us when it became clear that we needed to back out of that deal and helped us to do that. She stuck with us and kept looking and it wasn't long before she found us the right place, got us in there as one of the first to see it and then guided us through the whole process. I highly recommend Yvette Stafford.

    We worked with Yvette on purchasing a home in Wintergreen Resort. We met by happenstance, but she was immediately helpful, knowledgeable, and available. We went under contract and she handled the scheduling of several inspections and appraisals. The whole experience was excellent and we closed with no problem. Great to work with. Would highly recommend!
