In the heart of Schuyler, this bungalow is only one half mile from the Walton Museum. Built in 1929 by the Owner's father, this home has been in the family for over ninety years and reflects continual TLC; this is in immaculate condition. Eight inch baseboards and heart pine floors are only a few features not found regularly in new homes. Recent upgrades include exterior siding, new windows, kitchen appliances, upgraded 200 electrical service. On the main level, a second family room could easily serve as another bedroom. The large family room downstairs features wood paneling and a fireplace with gas logs. The bedrooms have double closets, and there is plenty of workspace in the large laundry and in the mechanical room. The attic is substantially floored for storage. The rear downstairs porch opens to the grassed back yard where there is a two level shed. At the back of the lot in the woods is a creek. In front, enjoy the covered porch with two swings. This location is minutes from the Rockfish River, known for boating and small mouth bass fishing. This is the village that inspired Earl Hamner to create the stories of the Waltons!

GreatSchools Ratings for Virginia are based on the Standards of Learning (SOL) End-of-Grade reading, writing, math, science and history/social science results and the End-of-Course reading, writing, algebra I, algebra II, geometry, biology, chemistry, earth science, world geography, Virginia and United States history, world history I and world history II results. Grade 8 history/social science results were not included due to incomplete reporting by the state. GreatSchools compared the test results for each grade and subject across all Virginia schools and divided them into 1 through 10 ratings (10 is the best). Please note, private schools are not required to release test results, so ratings are available only for public schools. GreatSchools Ratings cannot be compared across states, because of differences in the states' standardized testing programs. Keep in mind that when comparing schools using GreatSchools Ratings it's important to factor in other information, including the quality of each school's teachers, the school culture, special programs, etc.
