Briarwood consists of a variety of different townhome styles, including row homes and duplexes. Although the majority of Briarwood townhomes were built in the 1980s and 1990s, there are some newer townhomes which were constructed around 2003. Many of these Albemarle County homes have front porches, while some have garages. Briarwood continues to be an affordable Albemarle County real estate option along the northern corridor. One of Briarwood's most attractive features is the fact that it is next door to GE and a quick drive to NGIC and the UVA Research Park.
