The Mayfield neighborhood is rich in history and character. It has been home to a number of city leaders in politics, civil rights, and community advancement. Mayfield is right next to Dixon Park, the city’s newest recreation complex, offering youth soccer and field hockey fields, an outdoor pool with free admission for city residents, and walking trails. A Thursday-afternoon farmers market operates in Mayfield during the summer months. Downtown is just a couple minutes’ drive away.
