Located directly adjacent to Downtown Blacksburg, the neighborhood is primarily a mix of low and medium-density single-family housing. Developed beginning in the 1930s, the neighborhood exemplifies some of the older, more traditional architectural housing styles popular for the era, and remains popular because of its location to Downtown and Virginia Tech, as well as local parks and area amenities.
