John was exactly the right person to help me find my first home. He had a great sense of what I needed and wanted, even when I wasn't sure myself. That really came in handy when I started to get frustrated and lose focus after 4 months of looking. John knows Durham super well, and has a great sense for all the little things I typically overlook: noise, shoddy construction, a damp crawlspace. More than once he steered me away from a choice I'd have regretted, always reminding me that the right house is out there. Turns out he was right, and I'm glad I trusted him. I'd happily work with him again when I'm ready to sell my first home (but not for a few years at least!).

John hung in there through numerous ups and downs, from my indecision about moving, to handling negotiations with a 'for sale by owner' house. Along with getting me the best possible price for the house I sold with him, he made buying a house in a difficult market as easy as possible. He is professional, knowledgeable, and also a very nice person.I am sick of moving and although I hope I never need his services again, I highly recommend him.

John was amazing to work with! From the first day we worked with him, he gained our trust, as he truly observed what we valued and what we did not. From that he was able to help us narrow our options and prepare when the time was right to jump for one. He also helped us navigate the 1st time home buyer process and made it feel very simple for us. Our process went quickly and John worked very hard for us, even on weekends and around holidays to ensure we were best positioned to get our home! In a market like Durham’s, his insider knowledge of the market, neighborhoods, schools, etc. was extremely helpful. Overall, as long as I am living in the triangle, John will have my business and will be recommended to friends/family seeking a home in the area.
